The Story
Marra started as a quiet collaboration between animator Scott Baucan and musician Sarah Rudy (Hello June), and it has grown into something deeply special. Set in the moody, hand-drawn landscape of Marra’s own psyche, the young woman navigates the complex world of trauma and healing. Featuring original music from Hello June and Jess Weary, Marra is a visual meditation on resilience in the face of darkness and how we carry ourselves into the light.
Where We Are
We have poured our hearts (and our own resources) into this project. The story is boarded, the original score is recorded, and the animation is in its final, most critical stages.
The Final Push
Independent animation takes an incredible amount of time, precision, and support. We are bypassing the traditional, high-fee crowdfunding sites and coming straight to our community to help us cross the finish line.
